Originally we began as a small coffee shop in 1994. In 2000 it was obvious to get the type of product we yearned for we needed to begin roasting, and that’s what we did. We put the concept of fresh roasted coffee in the minds of the people of Winston-Salem, and survived the arrival of Starbucks to our fair city as well. In 2006 we branched out into Wholesale Roasting and in 2008 have added a Drive Through eSpresso Bar in Downtown Marion, NC near beautiful Lake James. Our coffee is available in many fine dining establishments and coffee shops throughout the area such as Meridian, Milners American Southern, Juicy Java Coffeeshops and O’Brians NY Style Deli. Please ask for us.
We are NOT a Fair Trade Coffee roastery. We do NOT participate in Fair Trade. However noble an idea, it is simply not enough. We have what we refer to as Relationship Roasting with each of our growers. We meet them, travel to their plantations, observe their business practices first hand. This way, our money is going directly to the people who grow the coffee and no one else |
